Happily Ever Woman

Happily Ever Woman

The high

The low

The middle

Of nowhere

That’s where I go

To the middle

of nowhere

My thoughts take me there

So easily

And I breathe deep

Sometimes I look around and I see the field

The field of nowhere

And I sit cross legged

Close my eyes

And breath in the air

The cold

Stark

Air

Fresh in my lungs

Bringing my senses to life

The cold

Snapping me back to reality

To the sidewalk

Where my feet step

One step at a time

One

Step

At

A

Time

And I look forward to the road ahead

My destination

Words unsaid

In the middle of nowhere

Is the place to be

In the middle of nowhere

I find

Eternity

The field green

Or maybe white with snow

Either way

The middle of nowhere

Is where I go

Losing track of time

Maybe in a deep sleep

The middle of nowhere

Is where I keep

All my secret dreams

And my feelings

Running deep

Coming back up

Tripping over my feet

Where does the time go

In the middle of nowhere

When is day

When is night

When is my flight

To the sandy beaches

And the ocean front

A place my heart

Feels at home

The middle of nowhere

I build my biodome

The protection against the rain

But I like

To walk in the rain

Feel the cold run down my face

Hair wet

Jacket damp

The middle of nowhere

And I was once a tramp

Trampling here

Trampling there

Trampling everywhere

In the middle of nowhere

I found myself

In the middle of nowhere

I build my house

My biodome

A place called home

And I walk on the grass

Bare foot

In the rain

Waiting for eternity

To come
